….Well, better late than never, right?! And since my May glam bag is on my mind right now, I figured I should review the last one while I (im)patiently wait for this month’s to arrive! So here is what I received in April’s bag:
-Buxom Wildly Whipped Lightweight Liquid Lipstick in “Centerfold”
-Luxie Beauty Dreamcatcher Tapered Highlighter Brush 522
-Nudestix Lip & Cheek pencil in “Mystic”
-Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Gel to Oil Overnight Repair Treatment
-SOPHi Nail Polish in “POP-arazzi”
And here is what I think of each product:
Buxom Lipstick(full size): The packaging is super cute, and the formula is TO DIE FOR! I love how smoothe and lightweight it feels on your lips, and turns out it is a plumper too – BONUS! However, the color is almost identical to my natural lip color so I almost feel like I am wearing lipstick for no reason. However, I would definitely buy this in another shde!
Highlighter Brush(full size): The brush itself is very soft, I love the color of the handle, and I like that it has different bristle materials – but I really only wear a liquid highlighter so I don’t know what else to use this brush for. Seems very high quality.
Nudestix pencil(sample size): Another formula that I love! It goes on so evenly, and I really liked the way it felt on my lips. I don’t think I would ever wear on my cheeks, because it is too “greasy” for my taste. And again, the color was almost identical to the Buxom (probably done on purpose to use as a liner) as well as my lips. I would like to try in a different shade as well.
Briogeo(sample size): The sample was a typical sample size and just didn’t feel like enough for me to really judge. I only got two uses out of the product. It definitely applied like a gel at first, and quickly turned to an oil. I was only able to really coat from about my ears down with the amount of product given. I didn’t really notice any major changes to my hair. I will not buy again.
SOPHi nail polish(full size): I really, really loved the color of this nail polish, as well as the fact that it is natural. The coverage was really nice. I NEEDED color on my toes so I could wear flip flops, so I quickly painted my toes before I ran out the door one morning, and one coat was all I needed for them to look alright. I noticed a lot of people were saying that it chipped very quickly, and I did notice that the next day or so, my big toe had chipped quite a bit, but I also didn’t put a top coat or anything over it so I wasn’t surprised. I might order in another shade, BUT I have sooooo much nail polish and I literally need NO MORE! Lol! 😂😂😂
All in all, I was extremely pleased with this month’s bag. The bag itself was a cute, bright tie-dyed type canvas material, and I have already filled it with stuff. I have had Ipsy for 3 months now and I am absolutely in love. I re-took the quiz after I got this bag in hopes of getting some brighter shades of lipstick and what not, and I am DYING to get May’s bag. Can time just hurry up already?!
