Day 19 is here (already) and my first round is almost over.
Let me just say this, it has been a trying time of year. There are so many sweets and cookies and candy everywhere I turn, and every weekend this month we have had at least one holiday party to attend. Last night was my company Christmas party, so I knew I was going to splurge a little. I tried to eat excellent, healthy choices in the morning, so I could have some wine, and that is just what I did. I kept the wine to just 2 glasses, I ate my entire NY strip (oops!), and I managed to skip dinner. Overall, I would call that successful!
I woke up this morning and thought I would check my measurements just before the weekend. Up to this points I have lost:
GUYS! That is not AMAZING, but I wasn’t perfect, and still managed to lose that much! I also feel stronger, and already feel like I need to up my weight amounts in my workouts. Progress is progress and for that I am thankful!
One more party this weekend, so in these last 2 days I am focusing on doing the workouts to my maximum effort and eating clean while I am at home. Trying to stick to fresh fruits and veggies, and clean proteins.
Lastly, I changed my shakeology flavor from vegan chocolate to vanilla this week and it finally arrived yesterday. I tried the vanilla today and my first impression was, “ok.” I feel like it tastes more like cake batter (my first recipe was 1 scoop vanilla, 1 tsp (or so) coconut extract, 1 cup frozen pineapple, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1/2 cup water, ice). Tomorrow I am going to try an orange and almond milk (maybe with some lemon juice to change the flavor) to see it is less “cake-y”. Regardless, I will drink it and make it work. 🙂 I actually am enjoying my shakes everyday, and to be honest, I do feel more energetic.
