I was so proud of myself in my last blog post, but I have to admit I sort of fell off the bandwagon a bit at the end of last week. I missed 2 workouts (Friday and Saturday) and had every intention of doing one on Sunday, but just didn’t have the energy. With that being said, I literally spent almost my entire weekend at work dipping my Jag. I mean, it was totally worth it! ππππ (Detailed video/blog coming soon!)
And since I was not at home for most of it (i.e. went out to eat) my eating wasn’t that great. I tried to stick to healthier options, like Subway with no cheese and a salad at a restaurant, but still wasn’t what my plan was.
With that being said, I am back on track, and my weight is back down to 170.7 (-2.1 pounds from my starting weight). I know the scale isn’t everything and I can SEE that I am building muscle, so I am not letting that number discourage me, and I am going to keep pushing.
Last night’s workout was Resistance 3 and HOLY RESISTANCE BATMAN!!! It was freaking hard, and it doesn’t help (or it does?) that I went on an almost 5 mile walk/jog with a friend. He wanted a jogging buddy and I couldn’t turn him down so I said yes. And I do have to admit, I skipped the third round. I just couldn’t keep up and my feet were really sore. Then we got home late and I immediately started dinner, which was Sweet Potato Soup and a side salad (recipe from my Free 5 Day Clean Eating Group which is happening now!). Hello Meatless Monday!! It was actually really good and my boyfriend actually enjoyed it too! GASP! And since my eating was like completely perfect yesterday (as planned!), I figured not completing the workout was not the worst thing in the world.
Today is a new day and cardio 2 awaits me at home this evening. I am so ready for this week to be over, only because that means I will be half way done with my first ever 8 week program!!!!!!! Staying with it and committing to something really is a great feeling.
Oh, and I finished another book this week,Β Strong Looks Better NakedΒ by Khloe Kardashian. Here is my review from Goodreads:
“I was so excited to see Khloe had a book out, but I am a little disappointed. Without the pictures and quotes, it could have easily been half as long, and the content was just alright. Nothing ground shattering, but still enjoyed the read. Finished in less than a week. Onto the next book!”
And last night I startedΒ The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. I have a feeling this is going to be a good one.
