I have been letting my sugar and food addictions be in control for too long now.
Last year about this time I was almost 20 pounds lighter and feeling my best. Today, I don’t feel that great. Even though the habits I have created keep me eating lots of fresh veggies and fruits, choosing better protein and carb options, and still eating from my rainbow containers…. I just keep giving into temptations and cravings and eating a lot of sugar, simple carbs, alcohol – and way too often. Like several days per week. I KNOW I have the power to beat these cravings and addictions, but for whatever internal reason, I keep letting them win and sabotaging myself. Even though I have steadily gained weight slowly over the last year or so, I still maintain a great workout regimen of at least 6 days per week. I know I am still strong, but I wouldn’t call myself “fit” anymore. I WANT TO CHANGE THAT!!! Every week it is the same story for me… Monday I start out strong with conviction that this week will be the week I decide to WIN again. I do really well for the first few days, and then a craving hits in the evening, or someone brings in a treat to work, or I simply walk past the cookie jar and instinctively grab one or two. Then I decide to pour myself a drink or two after work… and then I get “tired” and don’t want to cook and order in (even though I have a meal planned and purchased at home). By the weekend, I am off the rails and have more than eaten the calories I have burned during my exercise and we start it all over again on Monday.

Honestly, exactly what I need. This program isn’t cheap and it won’t be easy – which is exactly what is going to keep me dedicated to it and see it through from start to finish. I KNOW I am capable of doing this. I KNOW I can re-gain control of my thoughts and actions. And I KNOW this is going to help me.
I officially start on Wednesday of this week, so I have already planned out my meals through Sunday (only tweaking the meal plan that is provided a little bit), I have shopped, and I am READY! My last two days of “normal” eating and exercise will be today and tomorrow and then it is ON!
